It is my proud privilege and honour to present before you the annual report of our Vidyalaya for the year 2018-19.

This Vidyalaya is managed by Chaithanya Trust, Kasaragod. The vision of the Trust is to help the child to develop into a well balanced person.


Celebrating important days has become an integral part of joyful learning, community building and thought provoking process.

World Environment, International Yoga Day, Vayana Varam, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day,Onam, Vijayadashami, Deepavali,Gau Pooja, Birthday of A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Children’s Day, Guru Poornima, Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi, Indian Army Day, Republic Day, National Science Day and many other days were celebrated with due importance.

On world Environment Day saplings were planted in our Campus by students. Also saplings were distributed to them to plant at their houses.

On Onam Day attractive floral decoration (Pookkalam) was set up by various classes. Onam Sadya was served to all present during the celebration.

Guru Poornima was celebrated in a fitting manner. Some of the Retired teachers of Kasaragod were felicitated during the function.


Due to flood Kalothsava was cancelled this year.

I take this opportunity to inform you that in the District Level sports meet of Vidya Bharathi Khel Khud our vidyalaya won over all championship. The following students were qualified to participate in the state level competitions.

1. Ghanashyam N Std V - 200mtr race
2. Devika P Std VI - Long Jump
3. Bhagya lakshmi Std VI - 80 Mtr Hurdles
4. Mayank K V Std VI - 80 Mtr Hurdles and High Jump.

Dhanus Std VII was qualified to participate in yoga competition at State Level.

Inter state open Karate Championship was held at Puthur- our students participated in Kata and Kumithe and won following prizes:

1. Ganya N Std VI - III place
2. Devananda Std VI - III place
3. Thrisha G K Std V - III place
4. Ganashyam Std V - II place

In the Shashtra Mela of Bharatheeya Vidyanikethan 11 students qualified to participate at state level competitions held at Alapuzha and got prizes.

I am very happy to inform you that Mayooka L K Std IV has secured II place in the State Level Samskriti Bodha Pariyana- Essay writing competitions.

Our students participated in Bhagavath Geetha Chanting competition conducted by Chinmaya Mission, Kerala. Krishnaja T P Std I -got II place in this competition at state level.

Our students participated in English, Maths and Science Olympiad conducted by National Council for teachers, Bangalore.

Our students have collected Rs.35,640/- for the flood relief fund and also Rs. 64,767/- as contribution towards Seva Nidhi which is used to provide education and other facilities to Tribal and needy people.

Staff empowerment programme was also conducted during summer vacation and also throughout the year. Conducted English speaking classes also.

Our students are given classes in the activities of their choice in Karate, Instrumental Music, Classical Music, Classical Dance etc, and also special coaching in Sports and Games by Experts in the field.

Various Clubs are functioning in the vidyalaya to give practical experience in the course of their academic education. The concept of these clubs are to provide opportunities for life in groups, forming good habits and also cultivating a voluntaristic spirit. Club activities give the students practical training which they require in their day to day life.

Vidyalaya level sports meet and Shashtra Melas were held.

Under the guidance and support of Sri. Nagesha B Manager of the vidyalaya we are able to bring up our vidyalaya to a high standard.

The academic year 2018-19 was very meaningful with high academic achievements and different activities.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Management, teaching and non-teaching staff and parents for their trust and support and continue to do so in times to come ahead.
